As the Design Lead for Walmart's Location Services: Location Accuracy initiative, I was tasked with solving a deceptively simple yet deeply impactful problem—ensuring customers fully understand where their order is being fulfilled and how it will be delivered or picked up.
Customers often browse, shop, and place orders without realizing their selected store, fulfillment method, or address is inaccurate or outdated. These location mismatches resulted in customer confusion, order cancellations, fulfillment delays, and ultimately, lost revenue.
Our mission was to provide clarity and control around location and fulfillment options, so customers could confidently complete their orders. We aimed to improve the fidelity of location data and user intent early in the shopping journey, reducing friction at checkout and minimizing unexpected changes to store or delivery method.
This cross-functional initiative touched core aspects of the customer journey—from onboarding and product discovery to checkout and confirmation. Through thoughtful design prompts, messaging strategies, and UI improvements, our team worked to help customers make informed decisions, reduce cancellations, and improve the overall Walmart digital experience.
Logic Flows: Strong Prompt Bottom Sheets
To support clarity and reduce location-based errors during order placement, I designed logic flows that introduce Strong Prompt Bottom Sheets at key decision points across the shopping experience. These prompts help guide customers toward accurate store and fulfillment selections based on their saved location data.

Use Cases Covered:
• Pickup (Bookslot & Cart)
• Delivery (Bookslot & Cart)

Each flow adapts based on whether the customer has:
• A Full Address on file
• Only a Zip Code saved

The bottom sheets appear contextually to:
• Confirm or update the customer’s preferred fulfillment method
• Surface the assigned store or delivery location
• Prompt users to enter or verify full address details for more accurate fulfillment options
• Provide immediate control and visibility over their selected location and intent

By implementing these flows, we created a more responsive and transparent experience, improving both confidence and conversion throughout the funnel.
